Educational Events: Every year WOV provides an educational event. This year we held a forum on Human Trafficking called "YES - it happens HERE! Human Trafficking in the State of Washington"

Human trafficking is twenty–first century slavery. While it's often associated with the sex trade in foreign
countries, the issue goes far beyond prostitution. Victims right here in Washington state have been found
in a variety of businesses such as construction, housekeeping, food service, and agriculture. Victim
advocates and law enforcement say it can surface in any industry. Find out how you can help! Be educated!

AIDS Walk: WOV has sponsored a local AIDS Walk in Ellensburg, WA. We walk 6,000 steps (roughly 3 miles) around town to educate and raise awareness about AIDS. This years AIDS Walk was be held on December 4, 2011 beginning from the Ellensburg Christian School in Ellensburg. This event also include the assimilation of 20 AIDS Caregiver Kits which will be used to care for those living with AIDS and their families.
Sponsorship Gatherings: Throughout the year we will be hosting Sponsorship events which will provide the opportunity for World Vision Child Sponsors to learn more about the "How To's" of child sponsorship. Sponsors will also learn more about the impact their cards and letters have on the life of a child.
