Educational Events: Every year WOV provides an educational event. This year we held a forum on Human Trafficking called  "YES - it happens HERE! Human Trafficking in the State of Washington"
Our keynote speakers were  WA State Attorney, General Rob McKenna and Khurshida Begun, a Washington state HT survivor.

Human trafficking is twenty–first century slavery. While it's often associated with the sex trade in foreign
countries, the issue goes far beyond prostitution. Victims right here in Washington state have been found
in a variety of businesses such as construction, housekeeping, food service, and agriculture. Victim
advocates and law enforcement say it can surface in any industry. Find out how you can help! Be educated!

Also Featured was a discussion panel from the following organizations:
International Justice Mission
Washington Engage
Tim Dyk - Sex+Money Film
Shared Hope International
Eastern WA Human Trafficking Task Force
Justice & Mercy Foundation
WCCVA - Washington Coalition of Crime Victims Advocates
